The Sphinx presents a 45-minute performance by Eliot Krimsky with sculptures by Sarah Alice Moran.

Krimsky will perform pieces from his new album "I Made My House", as well as new work in development. Krimsky builds music from sounds of lived experience, seeking to transform intimate sonic materials into shared experiences. Moran’s sculptures are also entry points to explore memory and time, including historical, mythological and personal references.

Eliot Krimsky is a composer, songwriter, and pianist originally from Cambridge, MA, now based in Brooklyn, New York. His latest album, I Made My House (Moon Glyph, 2025), evokes a liminal space of loss, where dreams, memories, and the afterlife drift in and out of focus. The record has been described by Jonathan Herweg of WFMU as "a beautiful mix of outsider folk, atmospheric electronics and ethereal multi-layered jazz". He has performed worldwide and been an artist-in-residence at Performance Space New York, BAM, and the Lumberyard. He has collaborated across genres with artists such as Meshell Ndegeocello, Saha Gnawa, Deerhoof, Robert Stillman, Domino Kirke, and Here We Go Magic. As a film composer, Krimsky has crafted scores for numerous award-winning films, including Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened (Netflix) This One’s For The Ladies (HBO Max), Supergirl (PBS Independent Lens), and most recently The Travel Companion (Tribeca Film Festival 2025).
